The WHY behind my weight loss

Today Spark Coach assignment was to explore the reasons behind wanting to lose weight, the "true goal".

My true goal is simple and clear: to get healthy and fit. Right now I have difficulty moving around. I can barely tie my shoes. I feel heavy and awkward. Getting up out of certain chairs is hard. Running around playing with my niece and nephew is out of the question, I simply can't run. I am also deathly afraid of tripping and falling. I love to hike, but I am pretty limited to how far and how difficult a hike I can realistically do. I have to take medication to lower my blood pressure. i get heartburn frequently, especially if I overeat. I snore loudly.

I do also want to look better, but that is not the main focus, more of a side effect.

When I reach my goal weight, every single movement will be easier, period. Not lugging around 100+ pounds will be very freeing and I will be able to hike with much more ease and stamina. I will be able to play with the kids. Last time I lost weight, I got off of the BP meds., my heartburn went away and I stopped snoring.

I know I can do this, I have almost done it before, but I gave up on myself before I reached my goal. I am never doing that again. I am learning how to set better goals and I am worth too much to give up on!

    those are my reasons to lose weight as well! its amazing how much better we feel when our bodies can work better- it makes life so much easier and you don't have to feel you are always on your guard about daily living because of the fat. emoticon emoticon emoticon
