Headaches Every Day

Thursday, June 06, 2013

Every morning I wake up in pain. I try to sleep in later. It prevents me from morning exercise. I wrestle with the headache. Sometimes it lessens. Eventually I have to get up anyway, especially because my dreams are littered with stress and tension, and my hands fall asleep from odd sleeping angles. When my hands fall asleep, it wakes me up.

I think I need more exercise medicine.
I want every day to be a good day instead of a painful day.

Yuck. Hope you feel better soon. I'm sure they're adding to your stress, and that's never good. I'm running with Kaia at 7 tomorrow if you wanna go.

So sorry to hear about your headaches. It makes it hard to do anything. I hope you have seen a doctor about this.

So sorry to hear that you have to swim against such pain! I love both the massage therapy (being new to this myself and loving it I HIGHLY recommend it to ALL) and physical therapy.

In addition something that's become part of my morning routine has been a meditative, deep breathing routine that really helps me to pull myself together and move beyond any pain, both body pain and otherwise.

Hoping SO that you experiment and find some relief STAT!

Wishing you relief! I just watched your amazing video again this morning, as it is one of my favorite motivational stories. I had no idea you were suffering so much till I saw your blog title.

If your head aches and your arms or hands are numb you most likely have a pinched nerve in your neck. This happens to me as well. My recommendation? Get thee to a massage therapist STAT.

Headaches suck! Have you tried peppermint oil? Dilute it with a carrier like Vitamin E oil (say 1 tbsp. oil and 2-3 drops of peppermint oil) and rub it on your temples. It's supposed to be a great natural remedy for people who don't want to take pills for them and particularly stress headaches. I bought some but haven't had a headache yet to test it out. Feel better!

A friend of mine tried physical therapy and yoga and really helped. I have also heard that acupuncture is amazing for headaches but I have never tried it (I keep my distance from needle-looking thingies).

I hope you'll get better soon!

Just curious... but have you had your Vitamin D levels checked?

Low D can cause migraines. I take 4000-6000iu of D per day and it helps with headaches and depression. My D levels are slowing climbing. Remember to take D with food, as it's fat soluble. (And if that sounds like a lot, it isn't... the toxcity level for D is 50,000iu daily for an extended period of time.)

And if it persists, check with a doc! Because it can be something more serious - and knowledge is power. HUGS!

So sorry to hear you are not feeling well. I hope it gets better soon, or maybe you should go to the doctor's like the rest are suggesting.

I'm so sorry, Jocelyn. Are they new or have you experienced this before? If they're new and as persistent as they sound you really should get looked at. I hope you feel better soon, dear.

Oh dear, Oh dear, Oh dear....

I want you to get some relief! Such a circular dilemma... you can't get enough rest so you can't get enough exercise so you can't get the sleep you need....

I'll be praying that you can get at least one good night's sleep to break the cycle...

    Dear Spark Sister,

Hope you have had these headaches checked out by a doctor. Could it be sinus related? Also there are solutions to deal with stress and tension you have to seek them out. Being sleep deprived is awful.

I have just struggled with 3 years of a massive fire, aggravation with insurance company, trying to put the house together again and then having a builder walk away from the job with my money. My whole life is upside down now but I am working hard to fix it all. Stressful, frustration, difficult, awful, hurting all those things but I still try to make a gratitude list in my mind each day to count the things that are working.

The reason why I elaborated over this for you is that about 2 years into this problem I allowed the stress and tension to affect me so much I had a mini stroke which paralyzed 1/2 my face.....I know very well it was the stress and tension and not taking care of me to the best I could. Thank God after 3 worrisome months God restored feeling in my face again and a realization came over me that if I don't take care of me what is anything else I do matter.

I started counting my blessings hope you can too but I would have those headaches checked real or imagine you deserve to be healthy and happy in this life and it really is up to us.

Please feel free to reach out if you need.
