Day 2 started out with the dreaded "100s" workout. The team workout was a litte different though:
For time, each member of the six-person team must complete the following:
30 wall balls
30 chest to bar pull-ups
30 pistols (one legged squats), alternating
30 one-arm dumbbell snatches
25 minute time cap
I was nervous about this one, mostly the chest-to-bar pull-ups, but everyone breezed through them. Our team came in 10th place in 20:57.
The individual competitors had to do 100 of all those things! I think only one person in the world had finished it under the timecap. Elizabeth Akinwale was the second to finish, in 23:17. Deb got 2nd place, making it through 93 of the snatches before time ran out.
Event 5 was 21-15-9 deadlifts and box jumps. Pretty simple. For the team, it was done by one man and one woman as a relay. Ross and Britt were AMAZING. They tied for third finishing in 7:46.
For the women, Deb and Elizabeth Akinwale were neck and neck. I can't remember if it was during the second or third round, but Deb started getting a bunch of missed reps and looked like she was wincing in pain. She still finished in third place, in 3:19. Apparently she came down from one of the jumps on her ankle funny. If she hadn't, she would've been right behind Elizabeth, who set another world record by finishing in 2:45.
