First Storm of the Season in Florida (PHOTO)

Thursday, June 06, 2013

Hi everyone!

I have friends here in SP from Florida so you will, for sure appreciate this photos of Storm Andres. Here it is (can you find Florida?):

Which reminds me that I need to buy gallons of water, extra canned food, extra cat food, for sure.

So, enjoy your view of paradise! emoticon

Love, Chelsea emoticon

Thot it was cute, they picked "Andres" as a name, after retiring "Andrew" (since Andrew was a major destructive storm 5-10 years ago, after my little Andrew was born.

I lived in Rockledge, and then Cocoa, and then Tallahassse from about 1966-1972 and we hardly had any hurricanes come on land. There was one that I recall when we lived north of Tallahassse - pretty much killed our chickens. Never forget that image!! (Wind destroyed our chicken coop. Ooops!). Don't remember the name of that storm, maybe something like Constance? Would have been like June of 1972 before we moved to KS later the end of the summer.

We live in DE. and we are getting pounded by very heavy rains. Luckily, no winds are with it . We are all getting caught up on our reading with a cat on our laps! Stay safe dear friend.

It's a crazy storm -- causing all sorts of flight delays too. Don't forget to stock up on the extra cat food! :-)

WOW that is quite a storm. My mother lived in FL the last 10 or so years of her life. She went through a number of heavy storms. Hope it clears up.

That just doesn't look good! Stay safe and snuggled up in bed with the cats and a good book and wait for it to all be over.
Get yourself extra snacks too! This way you don't have to leave the bed!

I have gotten in a habit of having extra everything on-hand since we in SoCal are predicted to soon have the "big one." Even little earthquakes are scary though. I have learned to be prepared since we had a big power outage a year or so ago. Stay safe.

I hope you are safe, the latest I heard is that there have been 5 tornadoes so far from that storm.
