Our spark friends are SO wise and SO wonderful..YES it's totally TRUE!

emoticon I totally LOVE emoticon my sparky friends...every single one of them!

I'm ALWAYS learning something new and fascinating from them. Many times stuff that just makes me go HUH...never thought of that from that perspective before! emoticon It educates me and keeps me sharp! It also warms my heart to read about their typical days and how they are rising to challenges both weight and health wise but also from certain boom~a~rangs that life seems to be good at zinging at us!

It reminds me that I don't hold the corner on the market on grief, or challenges, or frustrations or feeling it's sometimes you against the whole blasted world! emoticon We support and bolster each other up and sometimes give each other a good 'talkin' to!

Soooo when I found this wonderful share from my sweet Canadian friend KatrinaKat emoticon I wanted to share it and my response to her.

From Katrina's blog:

I found this on Wisebread and it was written by Nora Dunn

I thought it would be neat to try 1 per day.

1.Say thanks and mean it. (Here are 25 really nice ways to do just that).

2.Smile at a stranger.

3.Learn to lean into vulnerability and express your true self. (Watch this video as an inspirational primer).

4.Perform one senseless act of kindness per day.

5.Take a sabbatical and learn something new about yourself in the process.

6.Do something you've never done before.

7.Set goals wisely and reward yourself for making progress.

8.Start a conversation with a random stranger (in line at the grocery store for example).

9.Create a vision board to visualize and achieve the life of your dreams.

10.Help somebody.

11.Reflect on the amazing moments in your life, and figure out how to replicate them.

12.Be 100% honest for an entire day.

13.Be generous but not to your own detriment.

14.Express disagreement towards injustice.

15.Learn something new. For example, learn how to change your life and design the lifestyle you want.

16.Interact with nature. Go for a walk using all your senses, start a garden, or just admire a beautiful sunset.

17.Have fun with a brainstorm session of 100 ways to change your life in 20 minutes.

18.Cook a meal for somebody.

19.Save money. (Here are 37 ways start saving today).

20.Try letting somebody in line in front of you or driving consciously and kindly, and see if it actually makes you late. (You might surprise yourself).

21.Give your kids a leg up in life and make finance a family affair.

22.Learn about a worthwhile cause, and get involved.

23.Choose three ways to be nicer to the environment and implement them. (For example, reduce your standby power consumption, make your office green, start a coffee cup revolution, or conserve water).

24.Create your own definition of financial freedom, and inject a dose of passion into your budget.

25.Regain your youth, and play with some children.

Aren't these just the BEST? emoticon Hummm I don't know where the links are to find the videos or the links...maybe just google Wisebread? But isn't the list FAB? I do so many things that it suggests...maybe that's why lately I've been feeling so much better about our circumstances and our world.

But my FAV is #4 which also ties into #10 and #13...it's a THREE~FER! emoticon
emoticon

Here's my comment:

That list is the BOMB...I'm printing it off and putting it into action! Thanks for the share. The hubs and I have a MOST fav thing in the whole wide world to do and that is when we go out to eat...pick a table of people we think look really interesting and worthy and secretly pay their food tab for them. It's the BEST to see the look of surprise and complete joy go over their faces...then have them scan the crowd to see if they can weed out the 'do~gooder'...we have to pinch ourselves to keep from looking suspicious.

Absolutely THE BEST...and I secretly try to get a glance at their food and pick out healthy eaters...they deserve to be rewarded! YAY!

P.S. There aren't many... emoticon boooo...so I just go with the flow! emoticon

Thanks Katrina...you are the BEST for sharing this! Just the BEST! emoticon

Great list and I do some of those things all the time. I always tell a check-out girl/fellow they have been efficient, or that I appreciate their kindness when they put the groceries, etc. into the cart. When traveling I thank the establishment for having a clean restroom, etc.
Wearing a pleasant smile is one of the greatest things to do!!!
Thanks for sharing, Bobbi.

emoticon for sharing! I have let people in front of me at the stores before and you should see the smiles on their faces! I have baked cookies for my husband's Grandma who is 92 years old and has not been feeling well! I have also thought about running the 5k, but right now I have a stress fracture so we will have to wait until that heals, but mostly I am going to give others things on this list a try! You are a motivation to all of us! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

emoticon It is fun to secretly pay someone's bill for them. I have randomly done that at our vet hospital. I just pick a name and go up and pay what I can of their pet's hospital bill. The cashier knows but has been sworn to secrecy. It is a good feeling.
