Yesterday was an awesome day. My friend and I walked 4.2 miles during our lunch hour, then I came home and did a 4 mile run. Hubby went to our daughter's to mow her lawn while I mowed our lawn (another hour of exercise for me!). Our daughter is on a cruise this week, so we are taking care of her house and cats! At the end of the day, I had 26,967 steps on my FitBit. Go Me!!!! This morning I'm feeling great, sometimes I'm a bit sore after a day where I do more than 20,000 steps, but not today!
Today is my monthly Weight Watcher's weigh in, which is required to keep my lifetime status current. I have to weigh in the first meeting I go to each month, and since I still attend meetings most weeks, today's my day. I'm not stressed about the weigh in, since I'm a pound or so below my goal weight. I think it's important for me to continue going to meetings weekly, and weighing in weekly, as that helps me stay on track! My work friend received her lifetime award last week while I was traveling! I'm disappointed I couldn't be there for her, and to celebrate with her. She can't go to the meeting today, but next week we are taking pictures of her with our leader for her scrapbook. She didn't think about doing that last week! When I reached my goal weight, hubby came to the meeting, took pictures, brought me flowers, and made a really big deal about it. He's so sweet!
I am the only one who can do this for myself.
I make the choice of what I put in my mouth and what I don't.
I make the choice to exercise or not daily
I make the choice to have a positive frame of mind
I make the choice to be healthy!
Goals for today:
~ read my mantra
~ 80 oz water
~ 12,000 steps
~ Weight Watchers meeting and WI at noon
~ 25 flights of stairs
~ keep an open mind
~ journal every bite
~ weigh and measure food today
~ journal thoughts and feelings surrounding eating today
~ smile at least once an hour
~ learn something new and remember what I learned
~ eat a fruit or vegetable with every meal and as one snack today
~ laugh out loud today
~ focus on this lifestyle I have chosen for myself and don't sweat the small stuff
Today is supposed to be a rainy day, which makes me sad because I can't walk after work, but happy because that means it's a puddle jumping day. My little granddaughter will be with me after work, and we will take advantage of the puddles! She likes puddle jumping almost as much as I do!!!
