Pennies From Heaven

Wednesday, June 05, 2013

Today would have been my fathers birthday but he passed away 12 years ago. This morning as I was out doing my run I saw two pennies on the ground laying face up. They made me think of a poem and my daddy. After I finished my run I went back and picked those pennies up. I miss my father. RIP Connie G. Miller

Here is the poem:
"Pennies from Heaven"

I found a penny today
Just laying on the ground.
But it's not just a penny
This little coin I've found.

Found pennies come from heaven
that's what my Grandpa told me.
He said Angels tossed them down
Oh, how I loved that story!

He said when an Angel misses you
They toss a penny down,
sometimes just to cheer you up
To make a smile out of your frown.

So don't pass by that penny
When you're feeling blue.
It may be a penny from heaven
That an Angel's tossed to you.

Perhaps my father was the angel looking down on me!

My dad passed in 2006. Today being Father's Day was a rough day for me. It always is, and my husband had to work. I like the poem.

My Dad died in 1975 at age 75. He always had a laugh and he was the hardest working person I ever knew. Worked all the time busy doing something and never complained.

Your Dad was a Gemini. The Gemini child is most often the baby of the family and grows up fast to keep up with the older kids, so he learns to talk early and he loves to talk and think of new ideas. He often has 2 marriages and he can have nerve problems or injury to his hands or lungs. Gemini was born to a father who was well respected in the community.

My dad has been gone for 29 years and I still miss him. He died at the age of 57. That is one reason I am determined (at the age of 65) to take control of my diabetes and my health. emoticon
