Lost a little - more room to "wiggle"!

I weighed this morning and I actually lost 1.4 lbs. I didn't think I would gain, but I thought I would pretty much stay the same. I'm thrilled with the loss and am now 1.8 lbs. below my goal weight, so I have a little more room to wiggle!

I didnt really over eat while on vacation, but I did eat "off plan". As I mentioned before, I ate a lot of hot dogs, buns & chips last week. I don't want to start back with that "mindless snacking" of junk, so I'm back to 1-2 servings of fruit & grains per day and eating mostly lean protein & veggies.

I just feel better when I eat this way. I was really bummed this morning to find out we were out of eggs and I had to eat an english muffin (whole wheat - 100 calorie) for breakfast. It's only after 11 and I'm already feeling hungry. When I eat my 2 eggs loaded with veggies, I'm usually not hungry until after 12.

I also measured myself this morning (haven't done this in over a month) and I lost 2 total inches. I lost a whole inch around my waist!

I'm very happy with where I am (can't believe I'm actually saying this!) and now have to get back to the arduous task of maintaining!

I haven't set any June fitness goals yet. I want to keep up with the running. DH is working a lot of side jobs, so he's not able to run as much and so far DD#2 has only run once since school has been out. The first week she was camping and so far this week, she's had volleyball and basketball workouts (and some days both in one day). I need my motivators!

In fact, it was DD#1 who suggested we go hiking at the "mountain" park last night. I was already "talking myself" out of running since it was so hot and I still needed to make something for dinner. She usually isn't too keen on "nature", so I was happy she was motivated to go. Apparently she's been doing a yoga workout her AP Lit. teacher told her about and wanted to also add a "cardio". I was thrilled that she's been doing something and without me having to "nag".

So, DD#1 & 3 and I went hiking. It's a beautiful park and the trails are quite strenuous. A lot of people run the trails. I've tried a few times, but besides the difficulty, I'm always afraid I'll trip over the rocks & roots.

Anyway, we hiked about 45 mins. It's very shady, but still hot! DD#3 mentioned going back to some of the parks we haven't been to in a while and doing more walking/hiking. So I'll try to get in a couple of days running and do some hiking.

Now if I could just get in some strength training. I was going to start back with Coach Nicole's workout a couple of mornings a week. I was looking forward to sleeping in a little and still being able to do a workout before work. DD#2's basketball workouts are at 8:00 am, so I still have to get up about the same time - no sleeping in!

This is my biggest challenge, so I'm going to make it my June goal. 2 days a week I will get up a little early and do that workout!
