S.M.A.R.T. Goals for BLC 22

First, what the heck are SMART goals and what good are they. SMART goals are: Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Timely.

With that said, I start a blog about my SMART goals.

I want to set these goals so I will be healthy and strong for races and life in general. I want to not just be strong, but functionally strong. I want my strength to be able to do things in real life easier.

Goal #1: Lose 10 pounds by the end of BLC 22
I will reach this goal by: doing cardio and a DVD program each day required by the programs, tracking each bite, lick, or sip of food and/or drink that enters my body and staying in the calorie range determined by Spark, I will also log my intentional exercise with the use of my Polar HR Monitors
I will weigh myself every Wednesday morning and I will know I have reached my goal when I see 120.4 pounds on the scale (then the maintenance begins)
The only items I will need to attain this goal is: walking/workout/running shoes, my HR monitors, food scale, actual scale to weigh-in on, Spark nutritional tracker, Spark fitness tracker, and WILLPOWER. I always have found time just need to use my time wisely. I will gain support from family, friends, and my CAMO family.
I want to reach this goal, so running becomes more efficient.
I want 10 pounds gone by the end of BLC 22 with is August 28.

Goal #2: Lose at least 5% body fat
I will reach this goal by: doing cardio and a DVD program each day required by the programs, tracking each bite, lick, or sip of food and/or drink that enters my body and staying in the calorie range determined by Spark, I will also log my intentional exercise with the use of my Polar HR Monitors
I will note my Body Fat % and Muscle weight on my Tanita scale each Wednesday morning weigh-in and will also do this at 60 days in the Supreme 90 Day workout. In addition on the Supreme 90 weigh-in and measurement I will do a caliper reading of my body fat and log it into Spark. I will know I have reached my goal when I see 20% on the scale and 15% on the caliper calculations.
The only items I will need to attain this goal is: walking/workout/running shoes, my HR monitors, food scale, actual scale to weigh-in on, Spark nutritional tracker, Spark fitness tracker, body calipers, and WILLPOWER. I always have found time just need to use my time wisely. I will gain support from family, friends, and my CAMO family.

I want to be at 20% on the scale and 15% on the calipers by the end of BLC 22 with is August 28.
