So previously before I broke my foot I was fit and healthy, I had always been a chubby teenager and felt a need for a change, so I found spark-people and started tracking what I ate and my exercises, I also liked to do the spark-people videos and go jogging. But then I fell down 7 steps n landed on the side of my foot lets just say it went crunch twisted in half n snapped!
I've always been a person that even if I eat normally I have to exercise otherwise I'll just gain weight. So not being able to walk for 6 months due to a broken foot was a killer, I went up 4 dress sizes, from a UK size 6 to a UK size 14. Let's just say this left me with stretch marks all up my legs, inner thighs, tops of my arms and the side of my hips.
So I've gone back to sparkpeople, and have also started insanity. Im on week 3 now and I have been trying to loose weight for 6 weeks, I've lost a stone so far i am really pleased and my stretch marks on my legs have finally gone white when they were a deep purple colour a few months back.
I've been going through my laundry as I've got bags and bags of clothes where I had to buy new ones to fit me, but I keep finding loads of size 6 and size 8 clothes now this is my inspiration I know I did it before, why can I not do it again? It may seem far from possible right now, as 4 dress sizes is a lot of weight to shift and this is probably the biggest I've ever been. But I will do this and spark-people is so helpful, I think my main result of weight-loss has been the calorie tracker, it really makes you stop and think before you eat.
It is going to be a struggle as we have barbecues a lot in the summer, and a few rolls and you've already ate 100's of calories. But everyone is always asking me how do I do it, because I've got so much will power and am so determined. That I've even inspired my friends to shift some unwanted pounds.
