Hello, my name is Tammy :)

I am 31, was born and raised in Montreal Quebec. I now live in Ontario. I have 5 kids (3 of my own, 2 of my boyfriend).

I started my healthy living change on April 4 2013. I was 192 pounds. When I started a friend of mine helped me out. He is a personal trainer, he practices Jiu Jitsu and fights amateur MMA, as well as is a manager at a Supplement store (LUCKY FOR ME! LOL). So I figured he may know what he is talking about and be able to help me get this done this time.
He gave me a very strict diet plan to follow. Same 5 meals every day.. lots of protein and fiber and greens, no sugar, no breads or starches, no fruit. He expected me to work out 1- 1.5 hours per day, but I honestly can't, I've never really been super physically active... I get out, I walk, I do things, I hike and bike, but never was a runner or a jogger, nor a gym person, and never played sports. SO I worked out every other day, sometimes every day, to different DVD's I had purchased (mostly Jillian Micheals), or on my Wii Active (which is a lot of fun actually lol) to try to find something I liked (which I guess is impossible cause who LIKES working out LOL).

Truth be told, it's very difficult with 5 kids to have to cook myself something different every day at diner, to make and package myself specific portions of foods and shakes and pills and fish oils (YUCK) and eat them at the right times.. to only eat chicken as a meat (I don't eat seafood so it kinda limits lean meats down to.. well chicken) but I did it for 10 weeks. And I have some results! After 10 weeks I was 10 pounds less and lost 2 inches off my waist :D

I don't plan on continuing the strict regiment for another 8 months to get to my goal, but I am moving forward.. keeping in mind what I learned from the diet I followed, eating small balanced meals, and exercise! It's been 2 weeks since I started selecting my own balanced meals, and I have lost another 3 pounds.. which beaks the 180 line to start me here at 179 pounds. YEA YEA! GO ME!
