to bring you a blog
Well, now that I am in the middle of a full blown sneezing attack I think I want to trade noses with someone. Anyone want a running nose that finds the need to violently sneeze every 1.6 seconds or so for about to about 10 minutes at a stretch? It was bad on the bus this morning. I cover up and everything but I can only imagine what the people around me were thinking! So, back to the nose. It is free to a good home. One without pollen of whatever has it acting up right now. It is not a bad nose. It is not big and no warts. It usually smells things pretty good and is not overly sensitive to perfumes and things like that. It just has this bad habit in the spring of getting really irritated with the world and deciding to sneeze and just all around drive me nuts!
Okay, off of the nose. So, went out and got some running shoes last night. Then broke them in with 4 miles of walking and a tiny little bit of jogging. They felt great and very little break in required. I may be singing a different tune by the end of tonight when I walk for 5 miles home from work, but that likely wonít be due to the shoes. That will likely be due to the hills in the area. One thing about Cincinnati, you canít go far without hitting a hill of some form. And the way home has one big one. But I can climb that mountain! If not, I climb to the nearest bus stop and ride up!
I figure that walking home will likely take me about 90 minutes. So, I was thinking if that is 90 minutes, I actually come out a little ahead. Figure the drive home is 20 minutes. So that means basically 70 extra minutes. And any cardio I do on the bike is 65. So, that is 85 minutes. Then add in the drive time to and from the gym is 5 minutes each way. I am ahead of the game by 5 minutes. And that doesnít even count the wasted time fiddling around before I go to the gym. So, I am ahead of the game by walking home. Plus it is good for me.
Okay, now back to your regularly scheduled allergy attack!
