I was on a "staycation" from May 25-June 3, and for the first half of that time off, I stopped working out and wasn't eating very healthy. It was a holiday weekend, we had family visiting, and I fell off track. I enjoyed spending time with my family, but I was glad to get back on track.
Over the last six days, I have run 15 miles. Wow. That's the longest weekly mileage I've run EVER. And if I end up running 3 miles tonight as planned, I will have run 18 miles in a week. Normally, I run between 10-12 miles a week, but I'm really motivated to do this 7-mile race in July, so I've really stepped it up.
Last night, I discovered that apples with cinnamon make a great dessert/snack. Why didn't I think of this sooner? I posted something on Facebook about it, and someone suggested microwaving the apples for 30 seconds. Genius! I found another way to get in my apple a day!
