Survived

Wednesday, June 05, 2013

Well, I survived my trip to the dentist today--3 root canals in the front teeth in one day. I go back next week to have the bridge installed; until then I have a porcelain temporary bridge which looks as good as regular crowns, but the actual bridge will be more permanent. I'm still very happy with the work my dentist did.
I'm not quite as happy with the hairdo I got today afterwards. Two weeks ago I had a cut and style and kind of liked it. Today a different girl did my hair and it just doesn't do a thing for me, but I promised a more recent photo so here it is.

Of course, my mouth was still numb from the dental work, but you get the idea. I also just posted a photo of me taken last November just after a short haircut. I'm thinking the short hair is more like me. Any comments?

I don't see much difference in my weight between the 2 photos, other than a bit in my face. But I am still losing. Lost another pound this week for a total of 103 pounds gone forever. I'm doing well on the new calorie range and my body seems to like it better too.
I'm watching the new season of Extreme Makeover on TV. It's far too extreme for my tastes or ability, but it does keep me motivated to see the great success these people have had. I've even been motivated to add some new exercise to my daily routine, so that's great. And instead of watching TV for hours, I now listen to reggae music often. It's happy music and makes me want to dance, even while I'm cleaning my house or fixing dinner. I'm loving this new me.
Whatever motivates us to keep on is good. Stop and think of what motivates you to keep going. And add some fun to your daily routine. Life is short and we need to enjoy it, rather than waiting until we lose the extra weight. I've done that long enough.

Even though I love my hair as short as I can get it, I like your new style much better! And of course you can see a big difference, not just in your face, but also in your neck and shoulders. Pretty soon, Playboy will be calling you--seriously, you look wonderful and deserve to because losing 100# is not an easy task. I don't envy you all that dental work:) Keep it up girl, you are doing fantastic!! (hugs) Noel

Cherie, I love the new "do" and think it makes you look much younger than the one from last fall. Someone said it seems to frame your face, and I agree. Glad you survived the dental work. That is a LOT of work in one day. I'd be passed out for a month after that...I don't do well with dental work! Hope the numbness is all gone now. emoticon

Wow! What a lot of dental work. I'm glad it's going so well. I bet you feel a lot better in the long run.

I like the hairdo without the bangs. I think it frames your face better, makes you look more open, or cheerful or something. :)

I like your hair short. I used to have my hair long like Jaota but found it too much bother drying it. So I now go for short hair. Quick and easy and out the door. My bangs or fringes some people cal them it grow in two weeks. So I cut my own in-between. Pick it up and trim, trim .Glad your feeling a big relief of 3 root canals. Oh boy I have never had any serious work like that in my life. So I sure feel for you.

Your face is thiner but that always comes first . Plus when one gains weight it comes back on the face.

I like the new hairstyle too - it softens your face a bit. Yes, I can see the weight loss. Hard to see in ourselves. WTG! emoticon
