Love my Garden!

Tuesday, June 04, 2013

I just finished a delicious egg white omelet filled with onion and zucchini from my garden. It is such a treat to just go out to the garden and pick something that is ripe and make that the centerpiece of my dinner.
I am delighted that the garden is doing so well that I have been able to freeze some of the zucchini already as there is more than I can eat. Soon the tomatoes will be ripe and they also will be in the freezer in some form--stewed, soup, spaghetti sauce. It wlll be nice to have the freezer full of my own fresh frozen veggies this winter. I know that there are no fillers or preservatives that I don't want when I prepare food myself.

Enjoy the harvest! I love my garden too and take great delight in planning meals and sharing all the goodies that come out of it. emoticon

It's a long wait for my zucchinis to start producing. They are still in pots in my greenhouse. I do have chives, asparagus and rhubarb ready though.

That's great you've got produce already! I have a pea budding, but I just planted my big garden, so the earliest I'll be able to harvest anything will be my radishes in 22 days.

I love fresh garden produce, it's the best! emoticon

Where do you live that you already have veggies? My plants have blossomed but no veggies yet.

You're lucky that your garden is producing this early. Here..things are still growing without producing at this point yet. Too early to produce
