This blog is mainly for myself because I've discovered a couple of things I want to try...
1.Cacao nibs and adzuki beans
Okay, so I came home from the gym and turned on the TV to ABC channel. Dr. Oz was on. I normally don't watch his show because sometimes I feel like it can be a little...deceiving? I don't know, I feel like he has a lot of knowledge to share, but I feel like he claims to always be coming out with the latest and greatest weight loss secret. I just don't buy it.
But today he happened to be talking about cacao nibs and adzuki beans. Both of these I hadn't heard of before and they are supposed to increase your energy, keep you fuller longer, and be nutritious. So, I want to give them a try.
2. Teff flour
I was watching the Chew earlier and Daphne Oz presented a diabetic friendly brownie recipe that looks pretty good:
It uses teff flour which is a ground grain similar to quinoa. Lots of fiber and protein! I have to try this!

I just got home from the gym! 30 minutes of circuit training and 15 minutes of walking/jogging. Now its time to rest before softball practice! GOOOOOOOO DOUGH BALLS!!
