Ok, so I'm just squeeeeeking into twoderland by a few ounces. The fact is I lost AND I'm under 300 pounds. I'd jump up and down for joy but I'm afraid I might cause an earthquake or a tsunami or something. LOL
WOW...WOW! I haven't been UNDER 300 in years. And I mean YEARs as in easily a decade. This is a huge moment for me. I feel like all of my other goals listed are a piece of...well...cake!
LOL My 2nd goal, my big personal one, is less than 40lbs away now. At one point it was SEVENTY pounds away. How crazy is that? I feel like I'm already at my goal, I feel so good about myself. As I sit here I look down and I don't see my gut sticking out like it used to, my hands are not all puffy and super fat and now look normal, my double chin is gone, I feel good!
Last night I was play wrestling with my husband and realized that I was actually sitting on him. Normally, sadly, I keep a foot on the floor because I felt like I was going to crush him. As I was strangling him (LOL I told you, we were play wrestling) I realized I was actually straddling him and he was laughing and kicking and it was OKAY! Honestly, I think that moment meant more to me than a lot of moments so far. It's not being lighter physically, it's being light hearted. Oh and it's only going to get better. Life is going to be so much better day by day.
I'm still impatient so lose more weight faster, but I'm staying within a reasonable calorie range (around 1500) and I'm eating basically what and when I want, but my choices are so much smarter now. I think one thing that makes this time different is that I'm not just losing weight to lose weight. I did have that diagnosis of diabetes and hypothyroid. My diabetes numbers have been in the low 6's consistently now. Like before bed last night I was 6.2. I think being on the thyroid medication has certainly been a massive help, too, though I've been doing a bunch of research and people are saying the meds didn't help them lose weight, but if they were TRYING to lose weight it did help them out. Losing weight when you're hypothyroid is notoriously difficult.
We had leftover salsa chicken for dinner last night. WOW was that good. Hubby is crazy crazy for it. If anyone happens to read this, check out the crockpot salsa chicken recipe in the recipe section here on Spark People. I can see why it's the most popular recipe of all. It's just terrific! I had it with one tortilla and then some on the side, almost like a chicken taco salad. Hubby had FOUR tortillas with filling and it was so great.
So hubby left for business at 6am this morning. I slept in a bit before heading to work. I have my yogurt (Oikos vanilla yogurt..wow is this good) and strawberries again. I'm not sure what I'm going to have for lunch. I'm thinking a lean cuisine might be good. I have a couple in the freezer here and I feel like a treat. It's not exactly what I'd call whole food. LOL
WOW....I'm under 300lbs.
What an amazing day.
Afternoon update --- Did the 1mile WATP. Almost stopped a couple of times because I lost interest but told myself to smarten up and just do it, it's a half hour out of my life I can live with. Sheesh I just hate exercising! Glad I did it, though! I think it's time to move up to the 2mile. Maybe the change of video will hold my interest. LOL
