I want to blog but I really don't know what to blog about today. My baby girl turned 21 years yesterday. That is making me feel pretty darn old, however, I have coworkers who are older than me with younger kids! Whew, I am so glad mine are adults!
I have had some NSV's lately. I am on week 3 of p90x program and the exercises are getting easier. I am able to do more of them with heavier weights. Plus, today after the dvd (chest and back plus ab ripper) I did the elliptical for 20 mins because I just didn't feel "done" yet. So that is progress! Before I started this program I would have considered 20 mins on the elliptical a workout instead of a cool down - LOL! Now I do an hour long dvd, a 15 min ab routine and a 20 min elliptical cool down. Wow have things changed! My breathing is easier, I don't sweat as hard and the effort feels less intense.
I have had zero progress on weight loss but I can feel that things are improving on the inside. I also found out that when you are working out hard and burning fat - that can bring on your womanly cycle way before it is time. Now, I have heard of working out so much that you skip your cycle all together but this is NEW to me. I asked my friend who did this program also and she said it happened to her - she asked her Nurse Practitioner about it and according to her, when your body releases the fat out of your fat cells - the estrogen that is tied to the fat is also released and the estrogen will spur your period to happen sooner. So, now I get two periods a month. Great. I am going to look at it as a plus because it means I am burning FAT! Woo Hoo!
My spark coach program today wants me to write down three things I have done today - any three things. It says that we focus on the negative too much and so by writing down 3 things, we can focus on our accomplishments no matter how small.
#1 mowed the entire yard
#2 talked to my birthday girl on the phone
#3 worked out and beyond.
and a bonus #4 took a nap!
I love naps. Naps are great.
There it is. A blog. Hope you enjoyed it. Have a great day sparkers!
