C25K training started today

I am running a 5K in July and my goal is to run the whole thing- no walking! This gives me 7 weeks to get up to that level. I tried out the C25K program today and did the week 1, workout 1 with a friend. I think I will bump it up to week 2 on my next workout . I think I can do it as today's workout didn't challenge me very much and I would like to train a little harder.

I think I will break down and buy the app for my phone. My friend has it and it was really nice not to have to keep checking a watch!

    Have fun! I did a C25K program starting in February and ran my first 5k just over a week ago. I'm routinely running 3 miles several times a week and it feels great! I used the Zombies, Run! 5K app (which if you haven't heard about it, it's just a lot of fun– it kept me wanting to put in my training time just to keep going with the story) and now I use the regular Zombies, Run app to entertain and motivate me on my runs.     if you have iTunes & like FREE STUFF there is a podcast I love for c25k- its called podrunner intervals. they call it first day to 5k.. it uses a chime to signal when to walk and run. =)
