I'm back from PEI

Safe and sound and man, was I tired. Since dh doesn't drive anymore, I had the 6-7 hrs. of driving to do all alone. It was actually quite a productive trip, so let's do the positives first... I got the car transferred into my name and got new licence plate etc. and it took less than 1/2 hr.... Dropped my car at the bro's friend's to get check-up etc. We'll leave that till the end... Got to my hospital appt to get pic of my eye taken, and took it to my eye dr. and looks pretty good. Had a Chinese buffet for lunch..

Had a long walk around the potato field and on the boardwalk. Went garage saling - got some more wool!!! Went to a Ceilidh on Sat. nite, and it was fun. My mother won the door prize and then I won a free ticket to the next one, which I gave to her since I won't be there.

We ate very weird....I did face the scale today and it was 196.2 - was really seriously concerned it would be past that dreaded 200, so another reprieve and wake-up call to get busy.

As for the car, I still have no A/c (he put in $120 worth of Freon and assured me I would have air all summer), I have no horn, he put a part in and spent 3 hrs. and couldn't figure out why it's not working, no cruise control, he didn't really check that but figured the fuse he changed probably fixed it. I still have the tickety-tick sound, which he hadn't noticed so I took him back out to hear it and he "assures" me it's just a squeaky tire????
And he said he changed the oil, and he said he rotated the tires, (I just know they are out of balance now)..... so ask me if I am a happy camper?
Well, Buddy had a wild weekend at his aunt's. Even with her 3 teen girls, they brought him home last nite, he tore up her garbage and receyles and dug up her onions and messed in the house and I can't remember what all else, but he's his old self when he got back home. Just reminded me I brought him home a big bone, so he's giving it a try. I remember I bought at at the same store where I bought my wool!!!Also got him an airplane toy and a soft bed.... spoiled, eh?

Well, weather is supposed to be warm here today, finally.... only other 2 days were when I was driving - without A/C...

Today's dh's 61st birthday, guess we'll be heading over to his mother's.
Have a great week all,and hope the weather changes and remembers it should be summer coming soon.

Glad you're back safe and sound. Sorry about the car. I went to my sister's cottage over the weekend with my family. I had a nice time although the weather could have been a little better. I got elected to drive - almost 4 hours and I was tired. You did a good job driving.
