Nice cool morning, and I am up early enough to get a full hour of walking in before grand baby arrives today.
I am on track.
I escaped falling off the wagon by the skin of my nose yesterday:
My SIL offered me a large candy bar at my niece's recital. Without evening thinking, I quickly said, "no, thanks....I'm dieting." When I got out of the recital I was famished; DS3s GF was too. And, we had just enough time to pick up DIL and make it over to the next recital. DIL got in the car with a bottle of water, a banana, and a healthy snack bar. GF and I went nuts; you would have thought we were given gold (GF is dieting, too). I am sure my DILs act of kindness saved my healthy eating goal from disaster yesterday. One of my former golden rules was to always make sure I have a healthy snack with me when I go out of the house, because one never knows what can happen. With the heat, I just pack a small cooler, with cut veggies, fruit, cottage cheese or yogurt. My handy dandy spork is always in my purse, ready and waiting. This handy little gadget, was well worth the $5 I paid for it and has gotten lots of use over the years. Some people would never be without a nail file; me--I would never be without my spork. Anyway, the whole experience yesterday afternoon was a good reminder for me and I need to re-institute being prepared with a healthy snack.
With June goals reviewed, and in hand, I am ready to begin my day.
