At the beginning of April, I rejoined MyFitnessPal in the hopes of losing some weight before a wedding in July. When I first stepped on the scale, I felt sick. I had gained back 22 pounds in the 4 months since moving back to the states after 3 months in Ireland. I started working out like crazy, stuck to my calorie goal and ... nothing. In fact, I gained weight (most likely water weight but still).
Two weeks ago, my mom suggested I switch to a new site: SparkPeople. I was apprehensive at first because it felt like giving up. Then I thought, what's the worst that could happen? Well, since then, I've watched the numbers on the scale move back down and today for the first time, I am down from that original number at the beginning of April! Only a pound and I still have a long way to go, but that is tons better than weeks of going nowhere!
