My Doctor's Star Patient
Sunday, June 02, 2013
That is what my doctor told me on Friday - I am his star patient this year. Well geez, I expected him to be happy about my 35 pound weight loss since my last visit but I didn't expect the reaction I got. He wanted to know how I did it, did I exercise? (boy, do I!), how do I feel?, yadda yadda yadda. Then he took me off my high blood pressure medication after taking my blood pressure no less than 5 times because he couldn't believe the numbers he was getting. THEN he told me I have probably added a decade on to my life expectancy. Pretty WOW, right?
I actually am really looking forward to seeing what the results of the blood work show. My blood work was never bad - only deficient in vitamin D, but I'm guessing the results are going to be really good this time.
All of this is really nice. I mean REALLY nice. But, the best part? I feel freaking fantastic.
We talked about goals. He asked me what I want to weigh. I really don't know, because it's been so long since I've weighed less than 200 pounds - at least 18 years. So that's my goal. We both set it because it's very attainable at this point.
All I can say is YIPPEE. Well, that's not all... I can say thank you to everyone who is so supportive and inspirational on Sparkpeople.
