back in the saddle

I survived my two weeks of intense nuttiness. Prom, Six Flags, graduation...grades, paperwork, meetings. Ugh. I was definitely not behaving during this time. A lot of eating out, junk food, no daily exercise. Surprisingly enough, I only gained about two pounds. I was actually running around a lot after the kids.

This weekend, I'm back on track. Yesterday I did 6W6P, 10 minutes of beginner yoga, and I mowed the lawn. This morning I did Level 1 of the Shred...but this time, with 8-pound weights. I am amazed at how heavy the 8's feel compared to the 5's! Wow. It's been raining nonstop for the past three days, which makes it hard to go outside and walk, but if it clears up, I'm gonna do two miles this afternoon. I'm trying to get the Dude to go with me, but he's come down with another bout of chest congestion. I'll get him eventually. He's good for me: he walks fast, and pushes me to go farther distances. I'm going to try to keep up with the yoga as well. I'm not very flexible.

I am determined to lose at least one pants size by July.
