We all can be easily tempted when we get caught up in the moment. When we get pulled into things that are not of God, we are more certain to get into trouble and less apt to think about the consequences. Let's be sure to think about what we are doing and why. Let's be sure we aren't getting caught up by the bells and whistles of all that is going on around us that we forget what is important and what we should be doing. When we keep God on our minds, we are less likely to be caught up and more likely to be able to resist temptation.

Job 36:8-9 “If they are bound in chains and caught up in a web of trouble, he shows them the reason. He shows them their sins of pride.” (NLT)

Dear Lord, help us not to spend our lives being caught up in the things of the world. We are pulled in so many directions and we know it is easier to get caught up in something believing we are giving it our all but we are really giving into temptation to put something else in the place of You. Help us today Lord to completely and totally focus on You and know You will guide our paths according to Your will. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

When we get caught up in the things of the world, we can easily get trapped by Satan.

Knowing that Satan wants us to get caught up in our own lives and not help others should tell us that it is wrong. Anything that makes Satan happy can’t be right.

When we are caught up in the moment over something we really want to do, we could easily begin to move away from what God wants us to do.

Temptation successfully happens when we are distracted or caught up in the things of the world.

We not only have be sure we don’t get caught up in the things of the world but we have to be sure we don’t pull others into temptation as well.

Matthew 18:7 “What sorrow awaits the world, because it tempts people to sin. Temptations are inevitable, but what sorrow awaits the person who does the tempting.” (NLT)
