1 Week to Half Marathon!

I haven't been checking in but I have been walking! I did miss a few weeks though but have kept it up for the most part. I found it harder to get the shorter walks in during the week. The DH is back to days temporarily so that helps though we've been doing a lot of family bike rides.

Last week I did 11.5 miles in the rain. I wanted to quit early but finished though I was soaked. Today I did 6.8 miles, with a bunch of hills. I am a little concerned about the hills. There are some on the route I normally take but no huge elevation gains so I tackled a steep hill today.

Haven't been watching the food very well so I've only lost about 5 lbs training in all but I can tell I am getting healthier. I have much more energy now. I am trying to focus on getting the diet cleaned up more this summer so I can lose some of this weight. Making homemade flavored water tonight so I can be sure to drink a lot. We are also working on a lot of projects around the house and yard so I am hoping that will keep me busy so less eating when I am bored.

Wish me luck next week! The forecast so far is 78 on race day though the race is in the morning so it should be nice emoticon

My bellydancing troupe supposedly is going to start meeting regularly again so I am hoping we dance tomorrow night!
