No No No Thats My Baby

Sunday, June 02, 2013

The pictures above are of my sisters 4 baby girls and my 3 baby's.

I went over to help my sister with her 4 girls early this morning, while I was there me and Cici who is 2 years old went out side together where I showed her a snail. I pointed out to her and placed it her hand, and we waited for it to come out of its shell. After we where done looking at we placed in her mothers flower bed, so it could go " night night"
For hours after that cici would set at the window looking at the spot the left the snail. and every time a bird, cat, or anything came by she would yell NO NO NO THAT'S MY BABY!!! fallowed with don't eat, touch, run over, depending on what she was yelling about.

Later on I was playing with one of the twins who thought that a bag was the funniest thing in the would you can see a video of this here

These events along with tons of other made me start thinking. Kids well laugh at what ever they find funny, they dance when they want to, they sing when they want to about anything, the jump, and yell, and they run. With out a thought in the world of who is looking, what others are thinking, or how it might make them hurt later. They love everyone, and almost everything.
It is told 2 years old is the one of the hardest ages but to me there the greatest because that is when a kid find out who they are and what there likes and dislikes are.

I think it s time for me to find at least one thing a day to look at or do as a child, and not care what everyone who might sees me thinks. If I want to run run or laugh just laugh , or anything in the world.

I want to challenge anyone who might read this blog to do the same thing. Put aside, the I cant, I will look silly, what will such and such think for a few minutes a day and be a kid.
If you like a song on the radio sing it as loud as you can and dance, If you see a flower stop, and really look at it, while doing dishes toss water at your wife or husband because its funny, or whatever you might find. It is time to bring out the kid in us all.

Thanks for reading my blog, and if you want to please share the story of what you did today as a kid.
I got into a water fight with my husband and kids :)

I love that kids are very vocal about their likes and dislikes. They don't fake it or pretend otherwise. We should all be more like that.

:) Kids can be a lot of fun. I like your idea for everyone to bring out the child within. I think the child within never completely leaves but we just learn to bury it deep down because that is what we are "suppose to do" according to others but who says we have to listen. A lot of people would be so much happier if they let the child within shine. :)

The other morning when walking in the park, I sang aloud, and not quietly, to myself while listening to one of my favorite Christian songs on my personal CD player. I didn't care how I sounded or if anyone heard. I worshipped God and enjoyed myself!

My son(26) and I do goofy things all the time. Peter(my significant other) and I are doing more goofy things. Making faces is one of our favorites. We also like the show AFV and laugh often.

You make an excellent point in keeping that child inside us alive!

There's a wise saying by Michael Pritchard that says: "We don't stop laughing because we grow old; We grow old because we stop laughing!" I love this quote and absolutely live by it!

You sound like a fantastic sister, auntie and Mom! emoticon

Why just the other day my husband was outside looked in the kitchen window at me and made a funny face. I retaliated with a spray bottle full of water and got him good. We both were laughing! We are still kids I guess, at least at these moments. Thanks for the reminder to find our joy! All the children in your photos are beautiful! emoticon

I'd love to be a 5 year old again..........even if just for a few days. If I laughed at everything I find funny or just dance when the feeling strikes - at the age of 53 - they'd put me away! Thanks for posting; love the pics.

I'd been worried about you and the storms we had Friday that went from Oklahoma (my area, but we weren't affected although the El Reno storm was just north of us and did move south) to Missouri, but I see that you're okay so I'm glad to read your blog.

i live alone with my cat who is no longer surprised when i sing to him or myself and the radio doesn't have to be on. i used to do the singing thing at work. some of my co-workers thought i was nuts, but the ones how sat next to me most of the time just smiled and nodded along to the beat.

My daughter and I had a beanbag fight in the middle of the living room!

You sound like you are a GREAT influence on all of those kids! Keep up the wonderful work.
