Today seemed pretty productive.
I went to bed a little too late and had difficulty feeling alert and awake at first, but after that I had a lot of energy...especially after working out on the treadmill for 55 minutes! I watched another episode of Game of Thrones while doing so which makes it easy to do. Then I stretched, then I showered.
Oh this is back tracking a bit but I am loving my breakfasts because they keep me energized and full for awhile. I don't have to rush to eat lunch anymore. I am doing my vega one chai shake (with 12oz almond breeze almond milk) and 1/2 cup kashi heart to heart oat flakes and blueberry clusters and 1/3 cup almond plus unsweetened milk (it's almond milk with pea protein and another non soy vegan protein, it helps me get more protein since the other almond milk I use doesn't have as much--barely any).
I did some homework for school (a lot of reading), laundry, watered plants for my mom (it was so nice out that I was tempted to ride my bike outside, but decided not to since I had worked out a lot...cooked dinner, made some tofu salad for the rest of the week, did tons of dishes, spent some time online, etc!
With dinner tonight, I tried this new pasta stuff from Nasoya called pasta zero. It's got very few carbs and calories and 0 fat and all that...it's made of chickpea flour and some other non wheat ingredients...I used it with my vegan alfredo sauce...and I can't say that it was all that wonderful, which I should have expected. Too watery, slippery, slimy, and not fulfilling/unsatisfying. It was worth the try I guess, and I might use the spaghetti style one for use in Asian style dishes or spring rolls or whatever, it might work better for that...but it made my alfredo sauce seem really lackluster, I would have liked to have real fettuccine instead haha :)
I managed to do really well with my tracker today, was able to get all my nutrients to a good range except potassium of course--I don't know how the hell I'd get that much potassium based on what the foods say they have in them, however, I do know that they are not required to list it on nutritional info so it makes it that much harder to know! How frustrating,..but yeah I'm not gonna worry about it too much right now.
