My 2 mile goal...

I started to run about 4 years ago and saw an Army fitness chart when I was working out at a gym. One of the fitness test is a two mile run. I set a goal to run 2 miles in 20 minutes. That was about 3 1/2 years ago. Every now and then I set out on a two mile run and attempt to make that time goal. This morning was one of those times.

20:05 --- oh, so close. I had been doing it around 22 minutes. Maybe next time...

    I am in the army and get to look at that chart twice a year (for the past 22 years or so, counting college). The PT test, like the scale, is not a perfect fitness measure, but it is a good indicator. Keep working at it and you will get below 20! I have been working on my running a lot over the last year and when I ran this May, I brought my 2 mi time down by about a minute for my best 2 miler in years. Keep it up!

    That's awesome! I am consistently at 22 minutes for 2 miles. I am hoping to eventually improve.
