Last week I learned that I have to do my research before I head to the grocery store. This week I learned a new surprise. Check the packaging, it may have a good recipe for something you;re already buying. On the back of a can of pinto beans was a recipe for pepper crusted salmon. I had all of the ingredients on hand and the dish turned out to be one of the best new recipes that I have made in a long time. I also realized that if a recipe has more than 5 or 6 ingredients I will not take the time to make it nor will I have the funds too.

I feel good about myself when I push through and work out even when I don't feel like it. I thought exercising would just be good for getting into shape. But somehow it affects how I feel about myself.

emoticon I am learning that I have to work at marketing myself and my skills. I am going to have to get a coach. I will work on that this week. In my industry there is no head hunters. Is there something similar to head hunters in other fields? Advice please

Thank you for reading my blog.

Here's a few suggestions about job hunting:

    1. Don't forget about your school connections - college, high school, trade whatever. One or more may have placement assistance. Or may be good source for alums that you can look up via social networking and let them know that you are looking for work. (If you use social networking, make sure your own social working looks professional - i.e. no goofy pictures or foul language. And be very, very selective with your contacts.)

    2. Don't forget about family and friend connections. Ask and ask again about their possible sources.

    3. Does your field have conventions, meetings or training sessions? Go, even if you cannot afford the fees, check out the schedule and see if has a social hour or some other free event. Bring your business cards and have your resume easily accessible (like on your phone to send or in your car to retrieve).

    Great goals!

Just a thought . . . not knowinng what your profession is (and that's OK!), just wondering . . . are you part of a professional organization? Sometimes that will help in finding leads in your profession.

HUGS and good luck to you.
