How on earth is it already June? That is just crazy! I'm glad though. Shane and I are starting today with a stricter budget. At first this was just to see where exactly all our money goes. Now there is a more important reason. We have decided that in the next 1-2 years will start looking for a house! I found several houses we could afford right now, but Shane wants to put at least $20k down. Right now we could put down $12k-$13k. If we save everything we can, including our next couple of tax returns, we should be able to get that up to $20k within 2 years! I am so tired of living in this apartment. I am tired of living in this town! I don't want the girls to go to school here. They are horrible. It wouldn't be too bad if Sarane went to the elementary down around the corner for a year. It is the top rated school in the entire district. But I really want her in either Edgewood or Madison. Both are good schools. They are also places we want to live. The only thing I need to watch when finding a house is making sure it isn't TOO close to my family! I found a house in the Edgewood SD that I really liked. Well, until I figured out it was a 5 min walk to my parents. I found another house in Madison only to realize it was about 5 houses down from my brother. Yikes! Of course, right now I'm just looking at what we will be able to actually afford. I highly doubt most of these houses will be available when we actually start looking.
I am also excited for summer because I am starting a new schedule. I have my whole day laid out Mon-Sat. Sundays are free for family time since that is the day Shane is most likely to have off. The schedule we are on right now is more of a what happens, happens. It seems like I never have time to get anything done though. With my new schedule, I get up early and exercise. Then I clean. We are also having twice weekly playdates with my mom and nephew. I'm excited about that. I also have a new exercise schedule for June. I'm going to concentrate on doing Walk Away The Pounds. It is something I can keep up with without completely dreading it. I have a cleaning schedule too. I found one on Pinterest and modified it to my needs. I am horrible at keeping up the housework. I do bare minimum most days. Then it piles up and it takes me days to catch up. This breaks it down into much easier increments. Plus, it has a swing day chore for those things that only need done once a month. I'm really hoping that this schedule helps everything be a little less chaotic! Less chaos=less stress!
