I am very pleased and relieved that I managed to lose the 7lbs I'd suddenly gained following a few days of relative feasting, when some friends came to stay. I was gutted when I got on those scales. It had taken a month or more to lose it and it seemed so unfair I almost sulked... but my 500 cal day worked it's magic and I felt so good when I woke up the following day 7 lbs lighter!
I know weight can go up or down, but I do feel that my body takes particular delight in filling up those fat cells whenever it has the opportunity, whilst my slimmer friends seem to eat as much as me - or more - and stay skinny.
Anyway, this diet seems to work with me so I'm going to stick with it for a while. 5 days eating whatever I like and 2 days with just 500 cals. I know a number of people who've been following this for a while and they all recommend it. We shall see. I think I need to keep changing my diet as my body adapts much too quickly. I have loads to lose in the next 7 and a half weeks!
