Hello my fellow Sparkers!

I believe I may have been away from Spark for two months maybe a little more. But it was for the best. During that time, I had a reconnection with my body and some soul searching from it. For the past several months, and even years, my body has spoken to me, but not like several months ago. I had been battling painful cramps, sulfur burps, food poisoning, nausea, vomiting, hard breathing and everything in between, you get the idea. I said to myself, "Thanks Body, for "showing" me what I needed to see. It wasn't pretty, but I see it now". Since mid March, I came up with a list of mini goals that I have accomplished. I have a very long way to go 350+ lbs, to get in the 100s healthy. I'm still very young. I would like to live life, and not on the sidelines. I still have dreams I hope to accomplish. I'm pulling one for the team in my family right now and hope I can inspire them, maybe I already have.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, listen to your body. This isn't a one size fits all journey. When we listen to our bodies and make simple easy changes, we begin to feel better and they are the first steps to improving our lives. I wanted to make a list of mini changes I have made, that I wrote on a piece of paper.

* Get away from the fast food(Haven't had any since mid March! I feel good for a change! I can't say how this has inspired my family but they don't get fast food as much and if they do, it's once a month!)
* Go plant based when I can(During the month of May I had went 23 out of 30 days not eating meat or dairy. I felt ENERGETIC for the fast time in a long time. I wasn't irregular and my headaches went away. Before, I was experincing chest pains, and bad rashes. I suffer from allergies and very little skin rashes now. Still testing the waters on this change.)
* Water, Water, Water(No Soda in three weeks, I've had Water mostly)
* More Vegetables( I love SALADS! emoticon , I have since I was little.)

That's just a few mini goals I have accomplished. Their more life style changes. Sorry about the long blog, I just had to write this, while it was still fresh on my mind. emoticon

My best piece of advice to anyone....Look at your journey as a lifestyle change and not a quick fix or diet. We all want to feel wonderful and joyful inside and out. Educate yourself, learn more about your health, try new fitness activities, or a new food. And listen to your body. emoticon

Nice blog!! You CAN do it!! Don't think of the total that you want to lose. Think of it in small goals because all of those small goals add up to the big goal. Along the way you see all of those things that your body is fussing at you about now will slowly disappear and then one day you'll wake up and say "darn, I didn't realize how badly I used to feel!! I'm never going to go there again!!"
