Favorite "Healthy" Take Out, Anyone?

Friday, May 31, 2013

Tonight, we had Lebanese from La Kabob. So good. I had spent 3 hours spring cleaning the kitchen and didn't even want to THINK about messing it up making a meal until tomorrow.

I had vegetable soup and a Mediterranian salad - bright green romaine lettuce, onions, tomato, black olives, feta, and a few slices of gyro meat with cucumber dressing on the side.

Last time we went to a Chinese restaurant, I tried one of the selections from the diet menu, which was basically steamed chicken and vegetables. The vegetables were very bland. Not a fan of that one.

I also love Vietamese Pho. Such great soup with the rice noodles, cinnamon broth, bean sprouts, fresh lime, basil, and cilantro. So healthy and tasty!

Anyone else have favorite healthy take-out???

Mary - La Kebab is in Strongsville, on Pearl Road, across the street from Aldi's. They are very similar to Alladin's, which we also LOVE, but La Kebab is closer for us!

I also love those Vietnamese summer rolls. So tasty! Sushi is good too, but I had that tendency to over-do with it...

Pho is a favorite, along with spring rolls.

We have a number of local cafes that make amazing salads.

I'm kind of classic Subway turkey on wheat with all the veggies and no oil or vinegar or fats added (just olives and dry spices). Healthy, fresh... yep, my fave.
