Today started off a little funny....last night we had a power outage, so I had to reset my clock next to my bed....apparently I set it an hour ahead...whoops! I thought I had overslept (since I felt like I had a bad nights sleep, completely reasonable), and rushed my husband off to work, and rushed my daughter to eat breakfast, only to find out it was 6:30 not 7:30! Had a bit of a laugh...although my daughter was not thrilled to loose a little extra sleep...oh well!
But- I did go ahead and do my workout first thing, getting it out of the way. That felt pretty good.
I have decided I need to cut some carbs, stat! I really took a good look at my nutrition reports, and what I tend to eat, only to find I am always really high on the carb count...I seem to eat a lot of pre packaged food, and unfortunately a decent amount of fast food...So I am planning on my carbs coming from dairy, veggies, and maybe cereal in the mornings...I have gained about 10-15 lbs. and I am hoping this will help. I have been doing about 20 minutes of exercise 4-5 times a week, might kick that up to 30 as well. I am going to try to add in water as well, that has always been my challenge...Today for lunch I had lunch meat roll ups...I bought some oikos roasted red pepper veggie dip (awesome!!!), and put that on lunch meat, with some lettuce and rolled it up...also had some cumcumber slices dipped in the oikos...so yummy! Later i plan to have some greek yogurt for a snack. Tonight its going to be ham steaks for my daughter and I...
I also learned a great way not to stick around the grocery store....I was checking out the Orange Dreamsicle Danish that was clearanced down since it need to be eaten in the next day or so...and realized I had to go to the bathroom! It dawned on me, if I went in Walmart, I would continue to ramble around and probably buy some bad things! Maybe a little drastic, but it also prevented me from stopping by a drive thru too! May sound crazy, but it worked! I bought my healthy stuff and go out of there pronto!
Been a strange morning, but so far I am doing good! Have a good weekend everyone!
