Trim Trickery

Hi, So I'm not so into math, but thanks to google now its easier to implement some trim tricks when it comes to counting calories...

Here's a just a couple I've been working with lately:

BUTTER
How about just a teaspoon instead of a whole tablespoon?
1 TBSP = 100 Calories
1 tsp (.33 TBS) = 33 Calories

Yay! Save 67 calories right there.

QUINOA (Dry)
Sometimes just a little is enough..
12 tsp/4 TBSP/.025 Cup = 160 Calories
3 tsp/1 TBSP/0.0625 Cup = 40 Calories
Yay! Love that texture, I just don't need to stuff myself with it!

Word..now I've got more calories available so I can eat or drink more of what I really want!

Truly though, all these measurements and mathematics tend to get me silly dizzy sometimes and really I have to take some time off from all this math, so when I'm on to it I do dig in & do my home work.. I'm hoping to get this all memorized so its subconsciously automatic someday..

I've also found these helpful when recording portion sizes in the tracker:

1 Tablespoon = 3 Teaspoons
1 oz = 29 grams
3 oz = 85 grams

1/2 = 0.5
1/3 = 0.3
2/3 = 0.6
1/4 = 0.25
3/4 = 0.75

I'd like to update & add more trim trickery to this post..

    Good stuff. Sometimes I just shave a tenth cup off a measurement to save 10% of the calories in an item.
