June Goals!

June Goals!

I need to make some health / weight loss / exercise related goals! Im never going to make any progress w/out some goals!

To help with my June goals, my employer will be starting a new contest next Monday, related to exercise minutes . . . I jumped right in & signed up.

I am going to become sugar-free in June . . . when I say sugar free I mean stop eating the cakes, cookies, pies, etc. that I have been consuming way too much of lately. Its time to stop that, its not good for me & I eat entirely too much of it.

I will start taking all my medicine and supplements daily. I have bought the pills boxes, three of them, one for morning, noon and night. Now I just need to fill them up & use them!!!

Its time to pull out all those exercise DVDs & knock the dust off of them. Im not going to win that challenge without doing some type of exercise. I have . . . Ok, Im not sure how many of them I have. Its time to pull them out & put them to use. Maybe even get in some saddle time . . . a long horseback ride sounds awesome right now!!

Keep your head up because you have a made up mind and you CAN do it! It took so many failures and set backs on my part but I've gotten this far and yes it was a hard journey but I persisted and was consistent. I'm not perfect at all at this time but I'm pushing forward and I know I'll never go back to where I came from. And a great way to JUST DO exercise is to WALK. I do that and it primes my workout pump! I'm cheering you on!

    Good for you.
The vending machines are definitely a good thing to avoid.
They removed the vending boxes from our building and replaced them with a self-serve catering room where you need to use a card account. I didn't sign up and have not bought a chip, cookie or candy since February!
It really made a difference.

I've decided I need to set some specific goals, since I've been kind of floating along - not gaining, not losing, just cruisin' of late. Thanks for putting that out there and reminding me I need to get more with it.

I've been making myself do at least one 10-minute exercise video segment a day and often 2 of them and some times more than that. I'd heard somebody say you should always be able to find 10 minutes for yourself now and then, and I decided I could do that, so I started at it. It works! You commit to do 10 minutes of something, then set a timer for 10 minutes or do a 10-minute exercise video. If you decide to do 2 or 3 sets of 10 minutes in a row, go for it. If you work it out for 2 or 3 individual blocks of 10 minutes spread over a day, that's fine too. It feels a lot less daunting if you approach it in 10 minute increments. Magic will be delighted if you do some riding, too. GO FOR IT!

    yes i should start doing a couple of my dvds again havent done any for a while been doing mainly my eppillator and hand weights.also i should down my sugar intake so thanks for the can so what from do this.what exercise dvds have you by the way? emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

    emoticon Wow, three really impressive goals, and the plans to mark them "done" at the end of June! I'll be one of the ones here cheering for you! And YES, a long ride sounds wonderful despite the heat. :)

    Sounds like a good plan, I've cut out sugar too except for DIL bday. So I've been doing okay this month except for a few fast food take outs I just wasn't up to cooking !! Best wishes on your challenge.

    It is important to have those goals, well done! Remember baby steps :)
I am glad to hear about the challenge that your employer is doing and I am sure that with your goals, you will see success. I joined a spring challenge on SP and we are in third week, it has given me the weight loss boost that I needed. I needed the accountability factor :)

    I am so glad to see you setting goals for June, when we write them down we become more accountable and in this time it's important. I too posted a blog on my May reflections and June Goals b/c I need to be held accountable. I ended up walking 5 miles today and have 2 blisters to show for it. I am thinking I need a new pair of shoes, so I'll be looking through my Mason catalog. I am glad you are completing the challenge at work, keep us up to date on it.
