This morning the scale said I lost 1.2 pounds. Big deal. What's one pound among so many?
Here is the value of losing one pound. It's one less pound my frame has to carry around 24/7. It's one step in the right direction. It gives me a shot of encouragement. It adds momentum to what I am doing.
One pound + one pound = two pounds. Then another, and another. Losing one pound a week equals 52 pounds a year.
We all know that our bodies don't lose on our schedule. It may lose more; it may lose less; the weight may plateau. Our job is to keep doing the healthy things that will encourage the pounds and inches to leave.
I've been on Spark 7 years. If I had lost one pound a month and not regained them, I would be down 84 pounds now. I lost and gained hundreds of pounds in that time. The net result is a gain of 76 pounds over my starting weight.
You can see the negative value of one pound at a time working against me! You can see how important ONE pound can be!
This week I am celebrating a one pound loss. It was not a perfect week. It doesn't have to be. It was good enough. It lights the spark inside and gives me the determination to see it happen again.
I am one pound lighter than I was last week.
