Slow and steady wins the race

Focus on your wins and not your losses. Two steps forward one step back still gets you ahead. Success is measured in many ways. A change in happiness is 5 steps forward. Establishing an exercise habit is 20 steps forward. Keep moving forward - but measure by multiple measures and not the scale. Embrace your progress and celebrate each success.
