The Habit of Tracking

I find it hard to keep a food journal. I find that it is inconvenient to write down food and then have to look up the nutritional data. I am proud to have been tracking food for a few days now. I do like seeing that I have reached the daily goal, staying within the daily calories. I also like the fitness tracker!
I really like the fitness tracker. My favorite feature is the map. I like that I can go for a walk and come back and see exactly how many calories I burned from my walk. I need to get better at tracking the time. I don't were a watch or carry a phone. I don't have a phone period! I have thought about getting one, I could use it for scanning food. Tracking food and exercise, among other things. I need to look into it more but I really don't know that I want to pay the extra $$ for one. Seems like there's an app for everything now and I think it might help.

    It was hard for me when I first started tracking my food too. It got much faster after I had added things I eat frequently to my "Favorites". Also, I finally figured out how to group foods eaten together in to a "Group". For example, one of my favorite breakfasts is scrambled eggs with salsa. I created a group for it, so now I only have to add one thing and each individual ingredient shows up on my nutrition tracker.

Hang in there! It gets easier. Accurately tracking your food is definitely worth the effort!
