reflections (Or, blogging seems more producive than watching TV marathons while home sick)

Alas! my second day tracking and Ive been laid low by a dastardly respiratory infection! So, rather than it on the couch and watch TV all day (did that yesterday) I shall instead regale my audience of none with a reflection at the start of my journey.

I work weird hours. As a canvasser for an environmental group, I come in to work at 2, walk around knocking on doors from 4:30 to 9, and check out at 10. What that means is that I get home at 11, eat dinner, and then promptly pa out around midnight.

I get a lot of exercise walking around for 4.5 hours every weekday, that's not a problem. My challenge is eating healthy once I get home at night. After 11, my desire to eat healthy pretty much goes out the window and I end up eating cereal or pizza or whatever's easily accessible. I'm definitely not getting enough fresh fruits and veggies either--which could be part of the reason I'm sick right now. So consider my lesson learned: an apple a day really does keep the doctor away.

    Start with the apple, add a banana,then a few grapes and you have fruit salad! If you have the fruits and veggies available you will eat them. Now is a great time of year to find wonderful fresh cheap freggies! emoticon emoticon
