One month and counting

I've been on my Sparkpeople "journey" about a month now; time to take stock. There have been two out-of-town and away-from-Sparkpeople trips in the last month, but overall I've tried to keep the program goals in mind. I know it's working!

I dislike weighing myself (best to avoid being too closely tied to whether the numbers on the scale are going down, or going down fast enough), but I can already feel some changes. I do have more energy! I do find myself more willing to try new physical challenges. I love walking, and have been challenging myself to walk faster. Next goal: jogging! Also, I have noticed my clothes fitting better, and even getting loose!

I also am really coming to look forward to eating my vegetables every day! They are so colorful, so many different textures and tastes; they fill my plate and my stomach, and I know they're good for my health . . . I am liking the challenge of making healthy meals that my family actually likes, too! (I sure appreciate all the Sparkrecipes I've tried so far--what a great resource!)

So this stuff must be working. I am so encouraged, and looking forward to seeing how I am doing at the end of another month!
