A quick start to the Fast diet

For the past 4 days we've had friends to stay and have done plenty of eating and drinking during that time, culminating with a fantastic Greek meze in a Brighton restaurant. However, we have also been for several long walks and I hadn't felt I'd been overeating on the whole.
But the scales said differently - 7 lbs, thats 3kg gained in just 4 days!! Whoa, that seems so unjust to me. But there we are. So today I am having a 500 calorie 'Fast Day'. I'm hoping that those extra pounds will slide off overnight and I'll be back on track very soon. I have my favourite dress (that I can't get into) hanging up to remind me what I'm aiming for. This is far more immediate and compelling than health issues.
Now I'm off for a swim and maybe a cycle or walk. And the wine has to stay in the bottle...
