We need to be nice to our selves

The assignment today on spark coach we need to talk and treat our selves like we do our best friend.


This was a hard assignment for me as I travel this journey I have hit a point where the scales refuse to move down ward if it moves at all it like a yo yo emoticon I know we all the quotes
1. Don’t beat your self up when you slip just start over
2. We are more important than the number on the scale
3 the scales is not the only sign we are sparking along
It’s also hard to say nice things about our selves because as kids we were told it not polite to brag about your self.

June is not far off so my challenge is to add another section besides my graduate page which I do each day as part of my team challenge I will MAKE MY SELF write something I like about my self at three times a week. Found several quotes and to put in the journal to remind me I need to be nice to me

Set reasonable goals Pace yourself. Taking on too much at once is a recipe for disaster.
this one is the most important for me to remember right now i want everything now to like our selves we have to like what we are dong and not give us reason to feel we are worth less .
off i go on a new journey learning to like me for where I am on this journey and thinking things won't be O Kay until i reach that magical number on the scale.

    Fran, I love your idea of writing down things you like about yourself. A running list is a great way to remind ourselves of how *great* we truly are. And it's not bragging if you're saying it to yourself. Just acknowledgement of the beauty, wonder & grace of YOU.

    This we all need to learn how to do. We all treat ourselves so bad and talk so bad to ourselves, when we need to realize we are great people and we need to love ourselves and talk nice to ourselves.

I hope you can conquer this, I am still working very hard on it!

    Have to totally agree w/Gail! You are a beautiful person, inside and out and certainly I have been the recipient of your kindnesses and warmth. So, just letting you know . . . you are SOOOOOO much more than a # on the scale. Look @ all the accomplishments and victories (NON-scale victories) you've achieved since joining SP!

It is so much easier to treat others better than we treat ourselves. But if you do make it a habit to write at least ONE thing/day that you LOVE about yourself, it will go a long way towards softening up the language you use talking to yourself!

    Fran, you are extra nice to your friends. I know. Because I am among the lucky ones who are your friend. You definitely will feel cared about if you are as encouraging and compassionate to yourself as you are to your friends.
