Another week without great sales. Sigh. Oh well. I did better last "month" without good sales than I did the first couple of "months" when there were some good prices. I guess practice makes perfect.

I'm going to focus again on sides this month. Also at least 8 servings each of chicken, pork, beef and fish. And making my own, hopefully healthier - at least with fewer additives - dressings, sauces, etc.

So here's what's on sale this week.

Walmart -
Tomatoes-on-the-vine - $1.44/lb
b/s chicken breast - $1.99/lb

Aldi -
multicolored peppers - $1.49/3 pack
pinot grigio (white wine) - $2.89/750 ml
ham, turkey or chicken sandwich meat - $3.29/lb
strawberries - 99 cents/lb

Kroger -
milk - $1.00/half gallon
sour cream - $1.00/pint
frozen veggies - $1.00/12-16 oz
assorted pork chops - $1.77/lb
cantalope - $1.97 each
Dannon yogurt - $2.00/quart

Marsh -
watermelon halves or quarters - 59 cents per pound
watermelon slices - 99 cents per pound
John Morrell smoked or polish sausage - 98 cents/9 oz
bone in chicken breast - 99 cents/lb
fresh green beans - $1.49/lb
zucchini or yellow squash - $1.49/lb
milk - $2.19/gallon
boneless country style ribs - $2.49/lb
chef's prime roast (from the pork loin) - $2.49/lb
rib end pork loin roast - $2.49/lb
boneless chuck roast - $2.99/lb

So it looks like mostly chicken and pork this week, with maybe a cantalope instead of or in addition to the strawberries.

    i buy chicken when its on sale and freeze it.

    i lost 44 pounds by giving up grain and sugar products.
    at age 61.

    my sister lost 105 pounds at age 63 by walking 15000 steps a day.
