Starting Week 9

+ so the big news is that i've completed C25K!!! i can run 30 mins without stopping! not that i'm terribly fast :P on friday, i will be restarting C25K, but with a focus more on speed than endurance. i hope to pick up the pace!!

+ been doing pretty well on the food front.. not tracking anything currently, but making sure that i eat healthy 95% of the time. still not drinking pop, 8 whole weeks, that's awesome. i don't even feel the temptation as much anymore, though it's still there, especially when i'm tired/stressed. i've been trying really hard to keep healthy snacks ready... like a bunch of veggies, already cut up, in the fridge with hummus. or smoothie ingredients on hand. still planning out what to do on my weekend away from home, i want to have some treats (it will be my niece's bday, i definitely want a slice of cake!), but not get too far off track.

+ in other food news, i've been trying to cut back on added sugars (have i mentioned this yet?).. so sugars from fruit are fine, but syrup on my oatmeal is not. i'm not being super strict, but i do find that the less sugar i consume, the less temptation i have.

+ in biking news... i've plotted a 15K route around my neighbourhood. hoping to conquer it on monday, when i get back from my trip... fingers crossed for good weather! this route has me going further away from home, crossing some major roads, though not biking on the busy roads too much.. trying to keep to side streets. hoping for a shorter bike ride tonight, though it's been raining on/off all day, so i'm not sure that will happen.

    Way to go! I also find that if I cut way way down on added sugars I crave them less.
