Off on another adventure, won't you join me

Wednesday, May 29, 2013

I decided, since it is such a momentous occasion for me , I am going to document the latest adventure so that you can all follow along with me:

It is a different kind of adventure, but just as exciting to me!

Mommy Duck and I just has a stare down! She won!

I was watching her gather sticks and things to pad her next and possible to obscure it a little when she caught sight of me watching her and she froze! I mean like a statue, froze!

She outlasted me! I snuck away and left her alone to get her nest all sorted out!

It is so amazing to literally almost have this happen ON MY DOORSTEP! Well less than a meter away from it!

On the weight and eating front, I have lost a pound of that post wedding banquet bloat! ( not reflected on the ticker) Good to be on the way down again. I ate on PLAN yesterday and will do so again today!

More adventures in the next 6 days include:
Bridal shower/tea; ladies ministry tea; 49th Birthday party potluck and all happening this week!

I will navigate my way through them as best as I can! Indulging and going overboard is just not worth it, it takes me a week to recover from a splurge! At least now on The Plan, I AM recovering! Before I would just continue to pack on the pounds!

When I get back to my "set weight" I am going to test BISON burgers! Can't wait!

How are you all doing?

emoticon Great post and I love the duck pic too.
We had baby rabbits nest from mom to birth right at our back door. Watching her pull grass after makeing a hole in the yard was amazing.

Sounds like your off to a fun summer and emoticon on the pound lost!

I love that you're going to be a grand duck!!! emoticon
Oh, and I think they leave the nest during the day to keep the attention of predators away from it. Please keep sharing this journey - it's so exciting!

Sounds like The Plan continues to be just what you needed. I'm so happy for you!
Due to family/life issues, I'm off track on exercise. However, happily, the diet I have to feed my great aunt is exactly what I'm eating these days too - so there's that.

I'm feeling very challenged at the moment, but I'm not feeling like all hope is lost. I will wade through the initial challenges of a new situation and deal with the upheaval that comes from major life shifts, and I will get back on track.

I hope you enjoy all the upcoming social events. Have fun!!!

This mommy duck is so cute. You must let me know if bison burgers compare to wild meat burgers in SA?
How am I doing? Great on the eating side of things, in my calorie range each and every day and that only healthy foods. On an exercise side of things...not been so great. I caught a real chest cold and had to quit boot camp for a week. It was two weeks all in all with the switch week. Im hoping to go tomorrow morning, all depends on whether my hubby takes our car to the course or drives with someone else. Im holding thumbs that I have a car or I'll have to wait one more day.
