First week of not losing

Wednesday, May 29, 2013

Okay so I didn't gain, but I didn't lose any weight either. emoticon I knew there would be weeks like this, and some weeks where yes I might gain, but it doesn't make it any easier! I need to look back at my week to see where I could have done better. Some of the things I think were different are: the weather changed back to being cooler, and I didn't get outside and work in the yard as much. emoticon I had some family drama that is still on going, so stress has been a factor. emoticon I have been eating supper with the hubby, it has been healthier suppers than in the past, but probably not perfect or portioned controlled as much as it should be. emoticon Trying not to make excuses, but trying to find areas that need improvement. I have a long journey ahead! emoticon

It is good to look back at the week and reflect on where you did well and where you could have done better, but do not beat yourself up. You have been doing great! Do you realize since you started in January, you have lost almost 20 lbs? That is about an average of almost 5lbs a month. You are well on your way to meeting your goals. You have started exercising, changing your eating habits, logging your food - doing all the right things to make the changes that will help you lose the rest of the weight and keep it off for the long run. Do not let one week of staying the same get to you.

Keep up your program and have faith that it works and is worth it. You will be rewarded for your healthy choices in many ways, and soon the scale will follow. Peace to you.

Just because the scale isn't moving, doesn't mean your body isn't changing. Try not to let it get you down. Keep up the good work and the scale will catch up. You can do it!!
