School is finally over-has been over actually for about a month. (for this I am extremely glad). I ended up passing all my classes (no surprise) and had a wonderful birthday. Also got engaged.
For most people its seems super fast, but they fail to realize that he and I were off and on for almost seven years and after a year apart it became quiet evident that neither of us could really fathom living apart from the other. It just seems like the most natural transition.
The wedding is July 31st. Not a whole lot of time to get things done and there has already been some (minor but severely annoying) set backs. We are have a very informal ceremony (a handfasting actually) and paying for it all ourselves so for very obvious reasons things had to be done in the most inexpensive route possible.
The biggest problem we've run into is my dress. Of course. I hate, HATE clothes shopping and because we are on such a limited budget my options have been extremely limited. I ordered one dress and it ended up being far to large to fit so I sent it back. Was about to order another that was just beautiful and I would have fit if I wasn't so busty. Clothes shopping depresses me. Out of all things I am so worried about finding "THE" dress even though we are having a simple, outdoors wedding. Even though I know, no matter what I wear he'll still find me beautiful.
I wish the state I lived in had more options for clothes for a woman my size, heck I wish I could find more options online. It gets really frustrating when most clothing stores that I found online seem to assume that plus size only goes up to a 28. Apparently it's also assumed that wearing an informal dress that is a light color or white isn't allowed either.
Frustrating is the word of the day. I refuse to let my frustration with finding a dress ruin our day though. There have already been quiet a few ups and downs (family issues) and so far this is the least of my worries. I've started looking outside the box so to speak at other colors or shapes to find something that will work.
I'll find something. I have to.
