The Motivation for Weight Loss and Healthy Lifestyle

I want to live a healthy lifestyle, so that I can live a long and healthy life. I don't want to be plagued with weight-related problems as I get older. I want to have a strong heart and be the grandma that jumps out of a plane or runs a marathon. I don't want to be the one that has to be a nursing home before I'm 80 because I didn't take care of my body when I was younger. I am grossly overweight, but right now the doctor says I have great cholesterol, blood pressure, and all those other numbers that mean little to me. Just because they are good now though doesn't mean I am not damaging myself by not taking care of myself. So it is important to me to be able to do those things.

Also, I want to fly to Europe and see the old cities and landmarks. You can't do that without walking and walking and walking. I want to be able to fit in an airplane seat comfortably.

I want to be able to buy clothes that fit my whole body. That may sound strange, but at my current weight, my pant legs, shirt sleeves, and skirts are too long. I know I may never find a shirt that fits properly, but I would like to be able to buy a bra that fits. No company really makes a bra that fits large busted women consistently. I think losing weight may help me find a cup size that works for me. And if it doesn't then at least I tried losing the weight first. Also, if I eventually want to get a breast reduction, I have to be at a healthy weight.
